So, seeing that we are a comp guest, she was unwilling to accommodate with an upgrade or any other consideration. Ahhh-there we discover the crux of the real issue at hand. She goes onto to say that 'Comp rooms' are first come first serve. I get that the hotel was probably running at a high occupancy this past weekend.
Tatiana disappears to the back for a few minutes and returns reiterating that smoking rooms are the only rooms remaining. She just blurted out that the only remaining rooms available that night were smoking rooms-to which I said that I needed a non smoking room as I have breathing issues when exposed to smoky conditions for an extended period of time. Your Front Desk Agent, Tatiana checked us in. It was about 9pm and the lobby was surprisingly quiet on the eve of a holiday weekend.
However, we came down last Thursday, Apr 14th for a quick getaway and was immediately turned off by the chilly reception at the Front Desk. And had a lovely room and went home raving about Ocean Casino Resort. We paid for our room the first time we stayed at Ocean. Having recently switched from another casino/resort after many years, we decided to give Ocean Casino Resort a try.
